How to Become a Christian

Have you ever come to a point in your life where you surrendered everything to Jesus Christ?  If not, what's stopping you?  It's as simple as A, B, C...

A - Admit
Admit to God that you are a sinner.  Repent, turning away from your sin.

Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Romans 6:23 "...the wages of sin is death..."

Acts 3:19   "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord..."

1 John 1:9   "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

B - Believe
Believe that Jesus is God's Son and accept God's gift of forgiveness from sin.

Romans 5:8  But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Acts 4:12   Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."

John 3:16   "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[a] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 14:6   Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Ephesians 2:8-9   For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

John 1:11-13  He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.

C - Confess
Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Romans 10:9-10  That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

Romans 10:13  for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

Are you ready to take that step?

Revelation 3:20a   "Behold I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him..."

If you're ready to invite Jesus into your life, you can do that now by praying this prayer (or one like it) from your heart:

Dear God, I know I have sinned and that my sin separates me from you.  I am sorry for my sin.  I believe Jesus died on the cross for me so my sin can be forgiven.  I believe Jesus rose from the dead and is alive.  God, please forgive me.  I ask Jesus to come into my life and be my Savior and Lord.  In the name of Jesus Christ...Amen!

Congratulations!
